COOKIES
This is a bit late
But here are Christmas presents I got for Vemana and Nannaya this year. (Basically a bunch ton of cookies).
Not really an artistic feat but it took a while and was pretty fun. I think I finally figured out the mysteries of cookie making (seriously.. it's hard) so I was really excited about that.

Me and Vemana share an Avatar TLA obsession so his was Appa/Momo themed, and Nannaya likes Spiderman a lot so his was spiderman themed.
And here's the final result before it was shipped off:

Christmas Ornaments!
Saw this. Made these.
Dan, Nannaya, and Vemana thought they were cool and made their own:
And some of the ornaments on the Christmas tree:
Sully, Balrog, Mike, Minion |
Dan-made, Nannaya-made, Vemana-made |
It was so funny seeing a bunch of grown men crowd around the dining table making these, like a bunch of kids at an arts and crafts table.
Happy holidays :)

Wall mural - finished!
Went home for a day
over the weekend - even though I have plenty of work to do for school I decided
to finish my remaining circle for my wall mural. I just couldn't stand the unfinished triangle
in my room. The other two circles were
missing their friend.
Here's the mess I
made and the finished product:
I used white
posterboard to protect the counter tops from the paint - and truthfully, I
loved the way they turned out. They're
like little works of art themselves - artistic byproduct. I'll save them for later.
Yay!
To give credit where
credit is due, my inspiration for this came from the episode Ember Island Players from the amazing show Avatar the Last Airbender. I loved this episode because it was hilarious
and brutally honest. The artwork in the
show is just beautiful and I loved the simpler, whimsical way in which they
chose to illustrate the play.
