Wall mural - finished!

Went home for a day over the weekend - even though I have plenty of work to do for school I decided to finish my remaining circle for my wall mural.  I just couldn't stand the unfinished triangle in my room.  The other two circles were missing their friend.

Here's the mess I made and the finished product:

I used white posterboard to protect the counter tops from the paint - and truthfully, I loved the way they turned out.  They're like little works of art themselves - artistic byproduct.  I'll save them for later.

So here is the finished mural:

Yay!

To give credit where credit is due, my inspiration for this came from the episode Ember Island Players from the amazing show Avatar the Last Airbender.  I loved this episode because it was hilarious and brutally honest.  The artwork in the show is just beautiful and I loved the simpler, whimsical way in which they chose to illustrate the play.

New wall mural - forest scene

This is pretty much the first time I've been home all summer - finally got a chance to work on the second part of my wall mural!  So here's the forest scene:

So now all I have left is the ocean scene, which I feel like will be trickiest though.  I've sketched the waves by hand and it's difficult to make them look right.  The next chance I'll have to work on them will probably be in a few weeks, so the triangle on my  wall will look a bit unfinished til then.

Here's what I have so far:

Will be hanging on the wall in my college bedroom pretty soon!

wall mural - clouds!

Got my dad to take a picture of the cloud part I finished, here it is:

The rest I've barely started on, and unless I feel like driving five hours back home for a weekend I probably won't get it done for another few months.  Oh well.

silliness

Took a break from my physics homework to draw these awkward creatures

Most awkward of all is the teenage ginger, of course

Mario!

This is very special to me because it was the final project for my first CSE class ever!  And I worked so hard on this!  Because no Photoshop allowed, just good ol' Jython (it's a mix between Java and Python.. yeah I think it sounds silly too).  There's code to pixelate the image at the beginning and the end, code to make Mario move across the screen and jump, code to make the stars come out, even code to make the box on the right constantly change color.  Even though this was hard work, it was so fun.  I only wish I had saved the code to make this, it's a fun read.

dinosaurs!!!

Birthday present for my dear friend Jackie!  She's one of the few people in the world who understands my obsession with drawing dinosaurs.  I'm the one with glasses, she's the one with boxing gloves.  It's a sweet little inside joke between us that I'm sharing now

Totally Awesomesauce

My brother drew these and I think they deserve to be on the interwebs.
